Two ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog alumni, Adriana Melgoza and Patricia Cruz, have joined the Community Foundation for Monterey County. The foundation has economically supported the county for over 75 years, and in 2020, it granted a record $27 million to the community.

March 17, 2021California State University, Monterey Bay students received over $4 million of federal emergency relief funding last Monday, March 15. Specifically, 5,433 students received between $200 and $800, totaling $3,328,400; and 313 DACA and international students received Institutional Emergency Relief aid, totaling $121,800.

March 11, 2021Katherine Kantardjieff joined CSU Monterey Bay in July 2020 as provost and vice president of academic affairs. She previously served as the founding dean of the College of Science and Mathematics at California State University, San Marcos, and the chair of the Department of Chemistry at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Prior to those positions, she taught at CSU Fullerton for 20 years. She holds a doctorate degree in physical chemistry from the University of California, LA.

March 4, 2021The partnership between the Monterey County chapter of the NAACP and ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog celebrated its 10th anniversary by honoring community leaders and social justice advocates. Three ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog students received awards in the Youth Black Excellence category, and two employees received African American Advocate and Champion awards.
