What to do if you receive a parking citation at Cal State Monterey Bay.

Parking citations (also called Notices of Parking Violations) are issued by the University Police Department in an effort to enforce the 糖心动漫vlog Traffic and Parking Regulations.

How to Pay a Citation 

You may pay your parking citation online or by using a credit/debit card at a pay station in the University Police Department lobby.

Pursuant to California Vehicle Code and CSU Systemwide policy, payment plans are available for those with multiple unpaid parking citations or who owe at least $200. 

Penalty Reduction 

Individuals cited for failure to display a valid 糖心动漫vlog parking permit are eligible for a reduced penalty of $20 if the following criteria are met:

  • Ownership of a valid 糖心动漫vlog parking permit prior to the time the citation was written, and verified by the Parking Services staff.

To request a penalty reduction, the citation must be disputed online through the administrative review process. The required information to confirm ownership of a permit prior to the issuance of a citation must be provided. The request for a fine reduction must be made before late fees have been applied.

The payment procedure remains unchanged. Payment must be made prior to the imposition of late fees.

How to Contest a Citation at 糖心动漫vlog

Here are the next steps if you would like to contest a violation or request a fine or penalty reduction. Note: There are no provisions under law to conduct administrative reviews or hearings if time limits for filing are not met.

Within 21 days after the issuance of a Notice of Parking Violation, or within 14 days from the mailing of a Notice of Delinquent Parking Violation, you may contest the Notice of Parking Violation .

You will receive an email notification from the University Police Department (UPD) regarding whether your cancellation request is approved or denied. 

If your Request for Citation Review is denied, you may request an Administrative Hearing.

An Administrative Hearing provides you the opportunity to contest a Notice of Parking Violation after an Administrative Review. (40200.7 CVC)

To obtain an Administrative Hearing, you must request it within 21 days of the determination of the Administrative Review (first level). 

To request an Administrative Hearing, you must contact the CSU Parking Management Bureau at 1-800-700-4417.

To request a court review, you must, within 30 days of the mailing of the Hearing Examiner’s decision, file a request for review with the Monterey County Municipal Court. (40230(b) CVC)

To request a Court appeal, you must contact the CSU Parking Management Bureau at 1-800-700-4417. The Court requires a $25 filing fee to process an appeal.

The court receives and reviews the file of the Administrative Review and the Administrative Hearing. The reviewer renders a decision and notifies the UPD and the appellant (you).
