Cristian Vega's film, "What is a Boy," has been nominated for a Student Academy Award. The competition drew entries from around the world. Vega was one of six U.S. filmmakers among a roster of 14 that included students from Korea, France, Germany, China, Taiwan, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Ashley Wilson started a YouTube channel, Ashley’s Roses, and eventually earned a bachelor’s degree in cinematic arts and technology from CSU Monterey Bay, graduating in May. Being behind and in front of the camera also gave Wilson a platform and outlet to talk about her genetic disease, cystic fibrosis. The disease figures prominently in her capstone project film, “I Choose You.”
It was the first event of ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog’s 2023 Commencement day.
