The Office of the Provost provides leadership for Cal State Monterey Bay’s academic mission, working across the university to create an inclusive, innovative and student-centered learning environment.

Led by Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Andrew Lawson, the office supports academic programs, faculty and initiatives that help students thrive from their first day at Cal State Monterey Bay through graduation and beyond. In partnership with colleges, departments and the regional community, the Office of the Provost advances educational opportunities that respond to student needs and prepare graduates to make a meaningful impact in their careers and communities.
